At Basilico our pasta and our sauces are freshly made and cooked in the wood fired oven when appropriate.

At Basilico, the pizzas are hand made on the premises and then baked in a traditional wood-fired brick oven at 500 degrees, giving a superb crisp texture and a unique and light flavour. Like all their dishes, the pizzas use only the finest, freshest ingredients, making them ideal for the health conscious customer. Basilico pizzas are available for delivery or take away or can be enjoyed on the premises. Basilico also serves fresh juices, pastries and a range of specials throughout the day.

Basilico has other branches in Lavender Hill, Finchley Road and East Sheen. All trade strongly on presenting pizzas that are much nearer the real thing than the competition. You will certainly find that everything is much more imaginative than at the average pizzeria, and that the wood-fired oven provides a wonderful flavour to every pizza.
Customers certainly seem pretty content with what's on offer, particularly the inventive and unusual toppings, such as artichokes, chorizo, capers, roasted peppers, salted anchovies, free range eggs, jalapeno peppers, basil pesto, spinach, calamata olives, goat's cheese, spring onions, pineapple, fresh green chillies, wild mushrooms, meat balls, prosciutto crudo, Italian salami, prosciutto cotto ham, buffalo mozzarella, rocket and smoked chicken. This impressive list suggests that Basilico’s pizza might indeed be so near the genuine article as to make little difference.
However, the menu goes well beyond mere pizzas, offering excellent salads, from the classic Caesar to the marinated olives and feta cheese to the delicious sounding Matador, featuring oven roasted Spanish chorizo with new potatoes and marinated vegetables. They even have their own special blend of coffee. So for a taste of the real Italy, Basilico the place to be in London.

The service was terrible. My dessert choice was unavailable but the restaurant did not contact me and sent a replacement. I chose the "build your own salad" option, but it arrived with the most expensive ingredient missing. When I called to correct the order, I was promised a call back and never received one. Finally spoke to the manager, who was not helpful at all. Pizza arrived cold. Will never order from here again.

Delivery is reliably quick and the pizzas are generally very tasty and nicely cooked. Stick with those and avoid dishes like lasagne (cold and stale) and tiramisu (it turned out to be a piece of panettone cake with some custard on top).

Lasagna delivered cold. Restaurant explains that they always deliver cold lasagnas so that you can reheat them (if you're lucky enough to have a microwave). Sent me another lasagna, cold again, and half the size of the first one. Won't order again.

I ordered the vegetarian antipasto and it is not value for money- the veg was not fresh at least 2 days old and there was no yellow asparagus - even tinned asparagus would have tasted better - well disappointed so I guess stick with the pizzas
