Every restaurant has to start somewhere. That somewhere for Marrakesh was a small space in Manhattan in 1999. Just six months later, Marrakesh had expanded to a comfortable location in Midtown, serving delicious delicacies from the Middle East, prepared from nothing but the best ingredients. The diet of the Middle East is one of the healthiest in the world, and like in other cultures around the Mediterranean, the food is eaten in a leisurely manner with plenty of light appetizers. At Marrakesh, generosity and teamwork govern every interaction, allowing customers to be confident that the food is prepared and served with care and affection.

Located in Morocco, the town of Marrakesh is celebrated for its late-night Middle Eastern food stalls, which feature a wide variety of spicy, flavorful meat and vegetable dishes. An order from Marrakesh restaurant offers the same flair for flavor found in those stalls thousands of miles away. You will swear that you can feel the hot breath of the Scirocco, the North African wind, as you bite into some of the best kebabs in New York City. The meat is Halal, meaning that it comes from healthy, vegetarian-fed animals with no hormones that have been slaughtered, not electrocuted, and that it has been prepared in accordance with Islamic law and contains no pork.
Since Marrakesh is mostly a delivery restaurant, you can be certain that your order from SeamlessWeb is prepared with the full energy of the dynamic kitchen staff dedicated to delivering food fresh, fast and hot. For an exotic treat at lunchtime, just say, “Take me to the Kasbah,” and order from Marrakesh.

The salad leaves much to be desired, but the pickled beets and the flavor of the kefta kabob made up for most of it.

Most Horrible Morroccan food I ever had! Not Recommended!

I just wish the restaurant would make the food as requested, (aka no salad or lettuce or items on the side when requested...)

Probably the best quality per dollar I've had on seamlessweb. bar none.

1. Food took one hour (20-40 min estimated). CAlled and was told that they were short on delivery guys. Food was cold - was sitting for about 30 minutes. They need to update delivery times in that case. 2. Hummus was made with white beans instead of 100% garbanzo beans. I guess its cheaper, but not better. Other food was OK.

Cheap and lots of food...

I like marrakesh. Its simple, good quality food. The only downside is that they reuse the same salad mix across most of their menu (even if described differently) so it can get boring.

Would not order from here again. Food took an hour and a half to arrive, even though I called to make sure they had the right address and everything, it was all freezing cold when it came (and thats bad when your talking about falafel and soggy saladm etc) and it wasnt even that good. Would NOT recommend. Worst delivery experience ive had off seamlessweb,.

Best Mid Eastern food all around, reasonably priced and friendly.

This was one of the worst quality of lamb, feta cheese and salad I ever had. I love Morrocan cuisine, but this were simply the cheapest types of ingredients. Awful.

You cannot beat the specials after 8;30 -- You get a sandwich, soup and dessert or soda for 8.95 .. All the food is fresh and the falafel is great.

Overpriced for the amount and quality of food. I am of middle-eastern decent so I am used to the cuisine. Definitely pick another place.

GOOD, WHOLESOME FOOD. QUALITY INGREDIENTS. A NICE SURPRISE FOR TAKEOUT MIDDLE EASTERN.

This place is awesome. I had the shish kebab sandwich lunch special, and what they don't tell you until you are in the process of ordering is you get to pick what goes on your sandwich, so it is not the same standard lettuce, tomato and onion. I fill like I could order this same lunch everyday and get a different combo. The only problem was I ordered shish kebab and they brought me chicken kebab, but it was still delicious. Even the fruit salad was good because it had a great assortment. You also get a lot of food, it is great value.

The review before me must of been written by someone who works for the restaurant because it was grossly over exaggerated. The most this place will ever get is two stars. Everything needs to be improved!!!!!

Delicious, fresh, and simple, with a clean and attractive presentation rare in deliveries. The kafta kebab over rice was above average for the price. The tabouleh was very leafy and coarsely chopped, which I liked. The hummus was finely pureed and lemony, and well seasoned. Two pitas were plenty for soaking it all up. The big surprise was the tortilla soup, which was outstanding. Plenty of fresh, firm avocado, loads of tortilla, and generous heat without compromising flavor. With a menu more guiltless than that of Cafe Danielo or Jackson Hole, for example, Marrakesh will command much of my work-time business.

I ordered the falafel platter, arrived in about 30 minutes...falafel tasted fresh, good tahini sauce; rice tasted a bit odd with the falafel. overall good food.

A 25-40 minute delivery estimate became 2 hours...and the food was certainly NOT worth the wait. Won't ever order from here again.

Their speciality sandwich meal is good . With 30% off its a good deal; not sure when its at full price

The hummus had a strange under taste. And the rice was of the fat, non-fine variety. Average.

Awful. Some of it was stone cold, and the quality of the sandwich as lousy. I do not recommend it.

Borders on the "Not Delightful." Suggestion is to go elsewhere for more flavorful and palatable fare.

mouthwatering hummus sandwich. I am pregnant and wish I had ordered TWO! The banana blueberry smoothie was delicious as well - they didn't skimp on the fruit.

Great falafel, so much better than street cart style. The baba was meh, the tabbouleh pretty good, but I really enjoyed the hummos. A very strong sesame flavor.

The soup and salad lunch deal is great. I've had the Greek, Grilled Salmon and the Sesame Chicken salads. All are good, but the sesame chicken is really yummy- nice grilled flavor to the chicken. The delivery is super fast- sometimes it comes within 15 minutes of ordering.

chicken kebab platter - chicken was dry and salty and the tomatoes in the salad were spoiled. Always request dressing for salad...and never receive it.

I'm not sure how this place has managed to earn 5 stars on both menupages and seamlessweb. I ordered delivery and was extremely disappointed. The chicken shish kebab and the falafel were not bad - average at best. The killers were the pita bread and hummus. The pita bread was Toufayan brand, straight from the grocery store, still in the Toufayan bag! And the hummus was asbolutely inedible. I'm not sure what they did to it, but hummus is pretty difficult to mess up that badly. I am feeling pretty outraged at the moment by the low quality of this food, and even more so at the reviews that have been posted thus far.

great food, sometimes the estimated delivery time takes longer in real-life, but never anything unreasonable.

The thick soup I was expecting was closer to the consistancy of NYC tap water. taste was just ok, I did find 6 chick peas that were flavorless at the bottom of the container. Not quite good enough,,,,, The pasta had a rather pungent and tart sauce that killed the dish for me. another disappointment, I think I'll stick with the good humus................................

It provides good food, but doesn't arrive on time or within the estimated time range, which results in the food often arriving cold.
