Lousy service and bad food!

Fresh food, and you can't beat their lunch special. Consistantly tasty!

yummy-yummy in my tummy. Thank you Friend kim for treating me to this place. Pretty much everything we ordered was really good. Doesn't taste as authentic as other Chinese restaurants in nyc, but I think part of it is because you don't have to speak Chinese to order here. It's pretty cool to order it on seamlessweb.l.

Not bad for Chinese food. The spinach noodles could be saltier though..

Good food, quick delivery, packed extremely well. Nothing not to like.

The WORST delivery experience ever. Waited an hour and half after initially getting confirmation that it would only be a 15-30 minute wait. Food was not very good. Never again. Be warned.
Posted 3 weeks ago by Anthony F.
Good food, but terrible service - they gave me white rice instead of brown, didn't give me any soy sauce at all, and delivery time was twice what was promised. I'll order from here again because the food was good, but next time, I'll adjust the tip to reflect the service.
Posted 3 weeks ago by Irina V.
meh... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. had the orange chicken and some miso soup. wouldn't order either again.

I ordered the vegetable fried rice, beef udon, pork gyoza & scallion pancakes. The vegetable fried rice was not good. We found a piece of plastic in it, but put it aside and tried to enjoy the meal, but it really was just bad. We barely touched it. The beef udon was good. It isn't by far among the best I've had but it was edible and served its purpose. It was kind of bland, most places give you some seasonings or sauces to mix in, but they don't. The pork gyozas were ok, but nothing to write home about. I don't care for pork & whatever veggie, I expect pork gyoza to be just pork. I did rather enjoy the scallion pancakes, they were the highlight of the meal. I especially like the dipping sauce, it has a kick to it. Delivery time was reasonable for the distance.

Terrible wait time on delivery!
Posted a month ago by Chris C.
best brown rice in city good with the fresh steamed veggies, too. Wonton soup and eggrolls are excellent as well. Udon is a notch above the usual nyc fare as well.

Our steamed spinach arrived with the plastic wrapping from a pack of cigarettes mixed in the food. It was disgusting. The other dishes contained less plastic, but 1 out of 4 dishes containing garbage is still more than I would prefer.

WORST RESTAURANT THERE IS!!! They took an hour and a half to deliver the food and it was COLD. DO NOT EAT AT CHOPSTICKS HOUSE

very fresh sushi and speedy service. I had the yellowtail roll combo (a yellowtail roll and 4 pcs of yellowtail) and a tuna/avocado roll.

nothing special about the house special fried rice. chicken in garlic sauce was alright.

really not very good!!!
Posted a month ago by Kevin H.
So disappointing, some of the worst General Tso's I've eaten... not horrible, just nothing tasted good. The edamame should not have been served though - overcooked and inedible. The wonton soup was alright. Even for cheap takeout Chinese it's hard to find worse options than this.

Generally OK food, nothing at all spectacular. Delivered fewer dumplings than advertised and there was very little chicken in our chicken noodle dish.

I know it's a recession...but don't fall into the 20% off trap. I'm Chinese and this restaurant is a disgrace to my culture. Food is extremely greasy and ingredients didn't taste fresh at all. Would never order from them ever again.
Posted 4 months ago by Eric K.
I ordered steamed chicken and beef with vegetables. The vegetables were steamed well and the chicken was okay. The sauce was good. The beef was super fatty and inedible.
Posted 4 months ago by Jennifer P.
I got Boneless BBQ Spare Ribs. It was ok. I get this dish often at Chinese restaurants and this won't make my top 20. The sauce was a little bland and watery and there was too much cabbage under the meat. The delivery guy tried to explain to me that the restaurant is far from my office (it's 0.8 miles) but I just put in my address on SW and it was listed--they should tell SW if they want to decrease their delivery radius. I'm not sure if he was trying to explain why it took 45-50 minutes (estimate was 15-30), or if he was fishing for a bigger tip (I had already tipped through SW) because he thought it was far and because it was raining. I'll probably try a different restaurant next time I want Chinese food at the office.

Chicken Dumplings are an easy crowd favorite! We typically order two servings to have left overs. Chicken curry is not recomended by someone who loves chicken Curry. The Lo Mein is acceptable. Spring Rolls were SO-SO, a little fishy smelling form what was probably aging shrimp.

My Kung Pao chicken tasted like it had been cooked with about 5 other meats. I couldn't even finish my food. Only time I've eaten there, so I can't say what other dishes are like.

Your usual run of the mill NYC Chinese food. Not bad, but not particularly outstanding either taste wise. On the positive side, it arrived hot and fresh and got here in 10 minutes! I'd order again since most Chinese places in Murray Hill are about the same and they had a 20% discount promotion. Not too shabby.

food was tasty, sesame chicken wasn't heavy or covered in thick coating. all of us who ordered enjoyed it & would order from here again.

yummy,
Posted 5 months ago by Henson S.
The sesame chicken was given in very generous portions, and the rice was pretty good too. The broccoli looked a little overcooked so I gave it a miss. I really disliked the wonton soup... I don't know how these American-Chinese places pass off those thick folds of dough as wonton when really the skin of the wonton should be thin and light. The soup itself was pretty tasteless. Delivery was fast, especially given that it's a little further than the usual places. I was truly horrified by the dumplings the first time I had them. I left it in the fridge to keep and microwaved a couple when I was feeling really hungry. They actually weren't too bad without the soya sauce to mask the taste of the meat. Still not the greatest, but alright. Main dish makes it overall decent if you're not too picky.

Came pretty quickly even though we live on West 57th and the restaurant is on West 36th. Food was better than average, some of the better Chinese delivery we've had, which isn't saying much. Would get delivery from them again, but nothing to write home about.

Ordered the steamed dumplings, egg rolls, general tso's chicken, and sweet & sour chicken (the most generic order ever, I admit), but it was all by far the best chinese we've had since moving to the city 2 years ago. Service was speedy and pleasant; can't wait for my next craving!

Hot and Sour Soup - really bad. No tofu, watery, flavorless Egg Roll - not very good. did not like the "shell" at all. Hunan Chicken - was pretty good. I got it steamed, with sauce on the side, white meat only, and brown rice. It felt a little healthier - I liked that those options were available. I will probably never order from this place again, however.

Food is ok, but the delivery guys always pressure you for more tip (on top of the amount pre-determined by Seamlessweb.com) and the cuss at you in Chinese when you say no. I've had them 3 or 4 times, but I don't think I'll order from them anymore.

Food was fast and service was nice, but now I know why combo asian restaurants are the ideal places. Also, if you order Japanese Udon thinking it's udon noodle soup -it's more like a bland udon lo mein. I've never seen anything like it and I've ordered Asian dishes for a decade.

The food is good, they followed cooking directions I requested, and it arrived quickly. But I got a mouthful from the delivery boy for not tipping enough. I spent ten bucks, I tipped one: this isn't fine dining and he wasn't my waiter. Shame on you!

We just had a lunch order for 6 people. 1 person had the sashimi and said it was only so-so. 1 person had the shrimp with snow peas and didn't like them at all. 2 people had the sauteed string beans and they were pretty good. The vegetarian hot and sour soup was terrible. The egg drop soup was deemed pretty good. The beef teriyaki was deemed so-so. The sesame chicken was deemed pretty good.
