Chef Yu serves up deliciously spicy dishes at his namesake restaurant in the Garment District. His specialties are the Beef Tendon and marinated beef with hot pepper sauce, but that doesn’t mean all Yu’s dishes aren’t standouts! Not only are they delicious, but they are inexpensive. Definitely stands above the mediocre Midtown Chinese restaurant landscape with well seasoned dishes with fresh ingredients. In addition to the reliable lunch specials, the menu has a few more authentic dishes to wander over and enjoy. Delivery has been very inconsistent, however. Sometimes, food arrives in 10 minutes. Other times, they take 45 minutes to an hour. Order early because if you call to ask about your late food, they'll just tell you it's on the way, even if it isn't.

The absolute worse Chinese food I have ever tasted. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken with vegetable fried rice. The rice was musy and the chicken was more tangy than sweet.. This is by far the worse. Never again.

Food was great, however the delivery person did not get an answer on my phone right away so he started pounding on the door to the floor of my office building! Then he proceeded to yell at me and wouldn't stop yelling. Incredibly unprofessional! Horrible thing to experience in your workplace.

Am truly no fan of Chinese cuisine, but the Chef Yu meal sliced chicken with asparagus and their scallion pancakes had been a very pleasant suprise.

The email said 35-50 mins. 1 Hour and 20 mins later, I still haven't received it. Had to cancel -- would never order from this restaurant again.

This is one of my favorite Chinese places. They're delivery is quick and their food rocks. They really go out of their way to really make their food better than the average place. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese places that really douse their stuff in MSG and trust me, this isn't one of those places. The food they serve is delicious, but more importantly, better for you than most places. The spring rolls aren't too greasy and the dishes that are supposed to have veggies in them actually do- and they're fresh. Come on Dwayne.
