I order from them for years and first time went to the restaurant. Though the food was EXCELLENT as always, but the place needs cosmetics. But the food is the best Indian I have ever tasted, and all my Indian colleagues approve of it... Dont know why someone would give this food 1 star, must be the competitors. Amy

Service was VERY SLOW and the food was NOT worth the wait. Try Salaam Bombay. Much better.

I ordered some chicken curry from here this past weekend and it was the worst food I have had in a while. The chicken was way overcooked, the curry was just like water; it was thin soup with no flavor at all. Very disappointing. I'm not one to gripe about food. I found most food to be pretty palatable but this was so bad that I'm actually writing a review for once.

We ordered the Chicken Curry and Goat Masala. While the food is cheap the portions are small. In addition the Chicken curry sauce was very watery and the meat was very dry. The Nan becomes very soggy when sitting in aluminum packaging for a while which was the case for us.

Delivery was quick enough but food was subpar. I used to live in Murray Hill and used to get way better Indian food for similar price. i.e. chicken tikka was not tandoori roasted, was just cut up chicken cubes. Would not order again.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The delivery was fast and accurate and the food was tasty. I'll definitely be ordering again soon.

For me this is the only place I ever want to eat Lamb Tikka Masala from. No one makes it like this restaurant. Portions are always great and the delivery is speedy!

Great Chicken Tikki Masala (medium spice had a little kick, but wasn't too spicy)...

Food was bad. The kofta was too hard and partly uncooked. The chicken in the curry was overcooked and dry. The rice was still grainy. I will never order from this place again.

The best paneer tikka roll I have had in Manhattan!

Excellent service and reasonably priced. More value for money and good quality

The food was really good and well packaged. They also gave me the option of getting naan bread instead of plain rice. I haven't found any other restaurant serving Indian food offering me that choice.

The food was pretty good and arrived very quickly. Note that the "salad" included is really just sliced onion.

Although a little inconsistent, the Indian food here is the best I've had downtown.

My order was terrible...I asked for extra green sauce and the second container was spoiled. My vegetable samosa was burned and my chicken dish was full of chicken cartillage. It was nasty and inedible, I threw out the entire meal.

Great food for your money. It's not the most elegant food, but for the price, it is very very tasty.

The Aloo Gohbi and rice were cold when I received them. Also, the Aloo Gohbi had very little, if any sauce. Finally, my order of papadum contained a single wafer, that was not very good.

I had their vegetable Biryani. Worse thing I have ever tasted. I had to throw it out after two bites... Gross

has two vegan options, the baingan bartha and channa masala, and you can get most of the breads vegan as well if you request no butter. delivery is unbelievably fast, and everyone always stops over to ask what i'm eating because it smells so delicious. love this place!

Great indian food for on the go. Not quite as good as what you could expect from more authentic sit down indian restaurants, but you'll def get a bang for your buck with this restaurant. Naans are hands down the best I've had thus far.

We ordered the all white meat chicken curry (medium spiciness), with garlic naan on the side.... OMG, this was sooooooo good, I almost called and ordered again, except i was so full, I couldn't pick up the phone. Also, they were at our door in TEN MINUTES!!11 Best dinner so far!!!!! You guys ROCK!!!!

Not enough food if you're not a rice eater. But GREAT none the less.

Having enjoyed Indian food for many years, I can comfortably say that this is the worst Indian I have ever had. The Tandori chicken was encompassed by a bad smell, the vegetable curry was tasteless and the naan bread far from authentic. I would strongly encourage people to try another curry house.

If you are looking for a real curry at a good price, this is it - although if you like your curry spicy (Chennai spicy), you need to say so in the special instructions.

Great service; excellent food; and sufficient quantity. I ordered/catered via seamless for a party of approx 20 people and ordered multiple items (chicken tikka masala; lamb curry; saag panner; paneer kadai; rice; naan; samosa; etc). And all the items were great. Delivered when promised. Provided serving utensils. All the guests loved the food (from indians, to americans, to asian guests). Highly recommend!

Ordered from Spice Route for the first time last night using the 20% discount code. I was very pleased and will order from them again. First of all, their prices are good, and with the discount, downright cheap. The food was good. Not as spicy and flavorful as I usually like my Indian food, but perfectly fine and sated my Indian food craving. To be fair, they ask if you want the dish mild, medium or spicy. Not knowing the restuarant, I chose medium. But maybe it'll be better if I choose spicy next time. The chicken tikka masala had good cuts of white meat. I also like that the menu gives you the option to choose white meat only in chicken dishes for $1 extra. Delivery was on time and the guy was nice.

Ordered from this place before through another website. Happy to find it again. The food is excellent though the portions are small. I'm sure when dining in the portions are greater just as any other establishment. Speedy delivery & great food highly recommended! ~Simone
